More information on the flag.

Hello, my name is August Nielsen, and I Designed the flag Lyn Deal mentioned in a city council meeting, I also want to make clear that my design is license free, anyone can and should use it as they see fit. My goal is to have a flag for the people of Fort Morgan to identify with as I see the Rainbow Bridge as a symbol of not only resilience but acceptance and a path to a better future.

After learning we didn’t have a flag, I wanted to make one.

One of the highlights being the information on the rainbow bridge, being our most iconic landmark. To celebrate 100 years since the completion of its construction in 1923 I wanted to highlight it here and now.  (The flag was created 6/1/2023)

I would love to see this adopted by the city and want to make it as easy as possible, please feel free to reach out with critique or any kind of questions, I’d love to help out with this or any other project in the ways that I can.
